Effects of 500 and 1000 FTU/kg phytase supplementation ofmaize-based diets with two tiers of nutrient specifications onperformance of broiler chickens

This paper shows that hytase supplementation has the potential to recover broiler performance and nutrient specification can be reduced further in diets with increased phytase inclusions. Future studies are required to examine the capacity of phytase super-doses to recover performance in diets in association with their reduced nutrient specifications. This would provide required information for poultry nutritionists to include higher doses of phytase in diets with appropriate nutrient specifications in the least-cost formulation of broiler rations.
